Northeast Paving & Sealcoat Stamped Asphalt Service
Stamped asphalt has become a popular alternative to expensive decorative paver products. This process allows you to create a realistic brick, slate, or stone effect directly onto an asphalt base and results in a product that is both attractive and durable.
Brick or concrete surfaces tend to crack, shift or sink over time. In general, these surfaces are higher maintenance due to weed growth or weather-related damage. Our stamped asphalt is resistant to weeds and impervious to salt, and doesn’t shift, crack or sink, making it a better choice!
By choosing stamped asphalt, you save money over other methods without compromising aesthetics or durability. Another advantage of this method is that the asphalt can be colored, reheated, and re-stamped at a later date!
Stamped asphalt is achieved by using a stamping template and plate compactor to make an impression in the asphalt layer.
HOW IT WORKS:
- The new or existing asphalt layer is heated.
- A stencil of the pattern that is chosen is placed on the surface of the asphalt and an impression is made by the compactor in a series of repeated patterns.
- In the final step, a coating is applied to color, protect and extend
